- Pedestrians with reduced mobility
Even the most committed car drivers travel on foot every day. Children, elderly people, commuters, tourists, public transport users, cyclists... almost all of us are "walkers" at one time or another.
On the scale of the Region, walking is now proving to be a real alternative to the motorised modes of transport that had gradually led it into oblivion and which congested and polluted the city centre. Like cycling, it can boast of being a healthy and sustainable means of transport!
Well aware of this, the Brussels-Capital Region is drawing up a global pedestrian plan for its territory. In this way, it is developing an action plan aimed at promoting and integrating this type of travel as part of an overall mobility policy.
