Documents to be presented at the risk perception test

If you have a valid provisional driver's licence:

  • your valid identity document. Please note: a limited number of identity documents are allowed for admission to the test. The following are not accepted: photocopies, passports, lost ID card declarations.

  • your provisional 36-month driver's licence with a first issue date before 01/11/2018, valid and issued more than three months ago

or your provisional 36-month driver's licence with a first issue date after 31/10/2018, valid and issued more than nine months ago

or your provisional 36-month driver's licence with a first issue date after 31/10/2018, valid and issued more than six months ago and the education certificate for at least 14 hours of practical classes with a certified driving school.

or your provisional 18-month driver's licence, valid and issued more than three months ago and the education certificate for at least 20 hours of practical classes with a certified driving school.

or your valid provisional 12-month driver's licence

  • if you have failed at least twice before, the certificate of instruction for six hours of practical training through an approved driving school after the second failure

  • proof of payment of the fee (in the event of advance payment)

If you do not have a valid provisional driver's licence:

  • your valid identity document.

  • the certificate of instruction of a minimum of 30 hours of practical training through an approved driving school

or a certificate of practical training issued by an approved driving school attesting to the completion of six hours of practical training via an approved driving school scheduled after the expiry of the validity period of your provisional driver's licence and a certificate issued by your local authority stating that you have completed instruction under a provisional driving licence

  • if you have failed at least twice before, the certificate of instruction for six hours of practical training through an approved driving school after the second failure

  • proof of payment of the fee (in the event of advance payment)

If you have a valid provisional driver's licence and are taking the road test with your own vehicle:

  • proof of valid third-party insurance for the vehicle in which you are taking the test (international insurance certificate)

  • the registration certificate of the vehicle you are driving

  • the green inspection certificate of the vehicle you are driving, valid (if the vehicle is subject to technical inspection)

  • the Belgian or European driving licence of the guide or accompanying person, valid for driving the vehicle in which the practical test is to be taken

  • the identity document of the guide or accompanying person, valid and issued in Belgium

  • if applicable, the logbook

If you have used a licenced driving school:

  • if you are taking the road test with a different driving school or driving school location to where you took the scheduled training, a certificate of two hours of practical instruction from the new driving school

  • if applicable, the logbook
