Duplicate

It may be necessary to request a duplicate certificate due to various circumstances, such as theft or loss of the compliance document. The procedure differs slightly depending on the type of certificate.

You can request the following duplicates from the Brussels Mobility Vehicle Expertise Department:

  • Validation certificate for M-N-O-L category vehicles
  • Certificate of conformity - approval certificate (PVA) for M-N-O-T-C-R-S-L category vehicles
  • Individual Approval certificate for M-N-O-L category vehicles
  • Denomination report (PVD : Procès-Verbal de Dénomination) for MT-LA category vehicles

Generally, if the original document was issued by the Federal Government prior to the 2015 State reform, the three regions can issue a duplicate.

If the original certificate was issued by the Brussels Region, contact the BRPS at homologation@sprb.brussels.

If the original certificate was issued by the Walloon Region, contact the SPW at homologation.vehicules@spw.wallonie.be.

If the original certificate was issued by the Flemish Region, contact the MOW at www.vlaanderen.be/duplicaat-van-homologatiecertificaat-of-attest-of-een-identificatieplaatje-aanvragen.

Duplicates of the registration certificate must be requested from the Vehicle Registration Service (DIV) following the specific procedure. For more information, please consult www.belgium.be/fr/mobilite
