Metro Line 3 will be a new route with 18 stations crossing the city from north to south over a length of 10.3 km. In 20 minutes, passengers will be able to travel from Evere, through the city centre, to Forest. A small revolution that many users are waiting for.

The future line 3 already exists in part since 1993 with trams running as a pre-metro between the North Station and the Albertplein in Forest. The project aims to extend the line to the north of the region, with the construction of a new section linking the North Station to the Bordet station in Evere. Meanwhile, the existing section will be converted into a full-fledged metro between the North Station and the Albertplein.
